As Sales Associate Cash Management you will support the GTB/Payments & Cash Management team in Country in any Sales Office Activity with Corporates and Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You will report to the Head of the GTB Belgium.
Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:
• Domestic and international means of payment
• Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
• Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
• Liquidity Management solutions like cash pooling
• Guarantees
• Active cross-selling with the different Business Lines of the Bank especially with the trade finance department of GTB.
The role requires a strong client service orientation, operational and process knowledge, knowledge of regulatory and risk processes, analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times.
He/she will be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Assist Senior Sales Managers with client call preparation by creating relationship review materials, response to RFP, pitch books, repricing, global account plans, prepare credit reviews and conducting market intelligence and customer research.
• All commercial actions shall be recorded in the CRM tool and documented on the common drive.
• Provide feedback from clients/prospects to Product Development Division in order to ensure the Bank maintains a competitive position in the International Corporate Cash Management market.
• You will be responsible for the KYC Onboarding Process, communicating with future clients, collecting the required documents and interacting with our KYC Validation Teams.
• You will be involved in managing the correspondence with the SG Network and in following up on questions which are raised from clients.
• You will be involved in reviewing the coherence of limits and outstanding and in the yearly credit reviews for the GTB clients.
• You will be involved in the information requests from compliance on certain client transactions.
• You will work on regular reporting for the client portfolios of the Senior Sales Managers, closely monitoring the development of the portfolios and analysing and explaining deviations.
• Act as back up of the PCM Sales when they are absent.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master's degree in Finance or Economics from an Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
• A previous experience in banking, cash management, treasury would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English
• Other foreign language skills (like Dutch) would be advantageous
Technical, operational & soft skills:
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Pro-active team player but also able to work autonomously
• Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills for pitching, other languages could be useful for this position.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable and confident to speak / present to clients and also SG senior management
• Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Brussels is to begin as of January 1st 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
